Worried

| | Comments (0)

My mom is watching the dogs while we're in Indiana. We drove to her house on Monday to drop them off. All of a sudden I hear a yell from the back seat.

"Mommy!!!!"

I panicked and was just about to pull the car off the road when I heard,

"Nana don't have a checklist!"

Maddie was referring to our morning and evening checklists. The girls have checklists that they have to follow to get ready in the morning or for bed. Brush teeth, wash face, pajamas, etc. Apparently, Maddie was very worried about the dogs going to Nana's house without a checklist.

We're eating where?

Upon walking into Ikea's cafeteria:

"Mommy, are we going to eat at the Africa-teria?"

One of the creatures in Monster Plantation

Maddie was talking to Nana (Alecia's mom) this morning.

Maddie: Nana, do you know about aliens? Aliens live in the zoo. I like aliens. I like giraffes too. Giraffes live in the zoo. Did you know that, Nana? Did you?

Josie's too cool for all of this.

Josie had a follow-up eye doctor appointment this week. Last time we were in, her eyes had improved so her prescription was changed slightly. This time, we found out her eyes have improved dramatically. If she keeps up at this rate, he said, she might not need to wear glasses after the next year or so.

I asked him again before we left, Really? He said he had seen a little boy whose eyes were much worse than Josie's. Since they had caught it early enough, the boy's eyes were able to improve rapidly and he no longer wears glasses today.

I don't want to get our hopes up, but we were originally told Josie would probably need glasses for the rest of her life. Now, it's just so wonderful to hear that she's making progress.
